Roaming Handset & Jack Plate
This VoCALL Emergency Voice Communication System (EVCS) is designed to fully comply with BS5839 Pt9 2003 (abb. Pt9) for use as a fire telephone system, disabled refuge call system or as a combined system when both fire telephones and disabled refuge points are required. The standard states that where both systems are fitted to a building these should form a single system.
An EVCS is a fixed, secure, bi-directional, full duplex voice communication system to assist fire fighters during emergencies in high rise buildings or large sites where radio communication cannot be guaranteed to work due to interference from the fire corona.
The roaming handset (CFVCRHS) is used along with the jack plate (CFVCRJP) for emergency voice communication system installations in countries whose fire codes allow for roaming handsets (these units are not suitable for installation in the UK to BS5839 Pt9).
When used together the roaming handset and jack plate form a type A handset which is compatible with all VoCALL systems.
