VoCALL 8 Line Exchange Unit

This VoCALL Emergency Voice Communication System (EVCS) is designed to fully comply with BS5839 Pt9 2003 (abb. Pt9) for use as a fire telephone system, disabled refuge call system or as a combined system when both fire telephones and disabled refuge points are required. The standard states that where both systems are fitted to a building these should form a single system.

An EVCS is a fixed, secure, bi-directional, full duplex voice communication system to assist fire fighters during emergencies in high rise buildings or large sites where radio communication cannot be guaranteed to work due to interference from the fire corona.

The VoCALL 8 line exchange unit (CFCVX8) is a small wall mounted unit which can be distributed around the site and hidden from view in such places as rises, stairwells and cupboards.

Using this system greatly reduces the cabling requirement and equipment ‘on view ‘ in such key places as reception areas, making the system much more aesthetically pleasing to the customer as well reducing the cost of installation.
